I have a confession to make on senior night this year for Kentucky Basketball I will be sad to see Ramel Bradley go. I know I can’t believe I’m saying this either!!! It’s truly been a joy to watch him go from the player he was the first 3 years under Tubby to the player he’s become under just one short season with Gillispie. Gone are the boneheaded shots and street ball mentality. No more ill advised or strange decisions at the end of games that plagued his first 3 years on the court. Ramel always had the heart, the guts, and the will. The big reason for my change of heart though is now he has the brains to go with it. You could always tell Bradley cared and hated to loose, he also never had a problem stepping up in the crunch without a second thought to be the guy to put things on his shoulders. Those are easy things to respect about a basketball player but it was hard to see past the constant low basketball IQ decisions he made up until this year. I think because he always had those attributes it’s made it easier for me to change my opinion about Ramel this year now that he is the team leader that makes the right decisions during a game. Had he not had the heart it may not have made a difference towards erasing the previous memories. His character has shown through in a season that he easily could have packed it in during some of the extremely low points. So on senior day I’ll be sad to see Ramel go he’s changed my opinion of him and I’m not sure what will draw more emotion the improvement he’s made or what might have become if he had more time to be a part of Gillispie’s system.

Watch out again college basketball b/c Patino is pulling his usual routine at Louisville this year. If you haven’t noticed the Cards are hot and finally healthy. This should come as no surprise to anyone who is familiar with Patino he historically has his team peaking and healthy at the end of season when it matters most. I’m extremely surprised the Cards are only ranked 23rd in the nation they are a far better team at this point in the season than a lot of teams ranked ahead of them. I’m also surprised that the second place team in the Big East which is Louisville is only ranked 23rd in the country. Another note who is first in the Big East you may wonder Georgetown a team Louisville ran out of Freedom Hall about a week ago. The Cards look real good right now and we are on the verge of the conference tournaments thus signaling the start of March Madness the right time for a team to look good. As they should all the analysts are jumping on the Cards bandwagon as the most underrated sleeper team that could end up in a Final Four. Once again Patino is up to his old tricks and unfortunately it’s for the better of Louisville.

Hey who new I actually got motivated and typed another post. I wanted to post some pictures and give a brief recap from the Kentucky bowl game. Like the previous post I’ll keep it short due to it being an old topic now. The bowl game was a blast, two bowl victories in a row who could have seen this coming a couple years ago. The game wasn’t as close as the score would make you think as the Wildcats were in control basically the entire game. Read the rest of this entry »
